Meaning: Zobebah · 11 cross references · Modern-day map available

Zobah was an Aramean kingdom to the north-east of Israel, often named together with other Syrian powers in the monarchy period. It is important because Saul and David fought against it, and because it formed part of the wider northern political world pressing on Israel and Judah. First appears in 1 Sam 14:47.1
